Staff Review: Death Comes to Pemberley by P.D. James

This is a pseudosequel to a classic, written by a classic mystery author, and probably of great interest to Austen and James fans.  The mystery is a tad disappointing in that the solution comes late and comes out of nowhere.  The real pleasure, of course, is in James’s take on the Darcys, Bennetts, et al.  How do Jane and Bingley fare in real marriage?  What sort of lover does Georgiana end up choosing?  Does Wickham ever get what he deserves?  There are some interesting solutions to puzzles left by Miss Austen, as well.  Definitely worth the time for the fans mentioned above.
